How to write a choose your own romance (Day 2)

I have had so much fun writing about the wives. Susannah in The Politician's Wife and Nina in The Unfaithful Wife. Welcome to the second day of my journey writing about the third wife, Juliette in The (Un)Forgiving Wife. Stay tuned for some behind the scene angst, laughs and cold showers!

Yesterday, and as promised, I completed the structure for all 15 chapters. Each chapter has a short summary and links to where the story lines part. Yeah!

Today, I get to interview the characters. This will probably take me the rest of the week because the more I get to know them, the easier it is to put myself in their head when I'm writing.

For me, it always starts with the lead female. In this case, Juliette. You met her in The Unfaithful Wife (or at least you will when it is released in July! Until then, you'll have to make do with the free extract.)

Now, I'm taking a risk with Juliette. You see, she was injured during childbirth. Since her daughter's birth, Juliette has been unable to have sex in the normal way. So she closed herself off from those emotions. Which is why she feels guilty when she finds out about her husband's affair. At first, she doesn't blame him, she blames herself.

Hopefully, today I will finish interviewing Juliette and then I can move onto her husband. Of course, she needs a lover. I have a few ideas, but he better be special enough to deserve her! After all, this book is about Juliette's journey of discovering her sensuality which is deeper yet just as satisfying as sex. Don't believe me? Challenge accepted.Ju
